Dungeon Keys
Several
of the high level dungeons require you to have a key to enter.
These keys are all found through various quests. Below are
listed the dungeon that the key lets you enter and the quest to
receive the key!
(Quick
Jump to Dungeon: Howling
Stones - Skyshrine - Sleeper's
Tomb - Veeshan's Peak)
Old
Sebilis Key
In
return for the Medallions of Kunzar and Nathsar, Emperor Ganak
will award you the Idol of Trakanon, which is the key needed to
enter Sebilis.
The medallions of Kunzar and Nathsar drop from the Froglock Hunter
and Forager in Trakanon's Teeth. These Mobs spawn one after another,
so they are fairly easy to get. Be careful they are
undercons. Make sure to keep them snared, and at a distance
if you are going to solo them.
The medallions that are dropped by the Froglocks are no-drop and
lore. So anyone in your party will have to grab one of each.
Doesn’t take too long, the hunter/foragers are very common.
The idol is now soul bound and will stay with you even after you
die.
Once
you have both parts of the medallions, you now need to turn them
in to Emperor Ganak. You will need someone that can cast
invisibility to undead with you to do this part.
If you
zone in from Emerald jungle and follow the wall to right, go all
the way south till you find his temple at approximate loc neg
2700, pos 2800. Now follow down the ramp and you should
see him at the bottom.
Turn
in both pieces to the Emperor and you will receive the Idol of
Trakanon. This is your key into Old Sebilis. It is
now a soul bound key, so if you die you will keep the key in your
inventory.
Howling
Stones (Charasis)
The
key to Howling Stones is also in two parts.
One
part is found in Kaesora off the Field of Bone. Down in
the area by the church you will find a spawn named Xalgoz.
He is a twenty minute spawn and has a Guardian of Xalgoz as his
placeholder.
Kill
him, and loot the xalgozian fang (he normally drops two at a time).
Now
travel to Lake of Ill Omen. In the Sarnak fortress you need
to find Chancellor of Di’Zok. He is in the back of the fortress.
Kill him and loot the Jade Chodakai prod.
Now
take the Jade Chodakai prod and the xalgozian fang to the Swamp
of No Hope. In Swamp of No hope you are looking for an NPC
named Durgoz (a Froglock). You can find him very close to
the zone into Trakanons Teeth (in the tunnel). He normally
spawns at 418, neg 4025 in a little cave.
Skyshrine
Key
To
go through Skyshrine into Cobalt Scar you must have the Skyshrine
Key.
To
receive the Skyshrine key you have two options.
Option
one is to do a quest involving Kael Drakkal.
Talk
to Ziglak (he is a named Drake that is to the right as you enter
Skyshrine from Wakening Lands). He will tell you that he
has a spy in Kael Drakkal and he needs you to deliver his payment
of 200 plat and a note to their spy (you have to come up with
the 200 plat).
The
spy is near the nobles in Kael Drakkal. You give him 200
plat and the note you got from Ziglak and he will give you back
the information Ziglak wants.
Return this information to Ziglak for the no drop, lore, soul
bound key to Cobalt scar.
You
must be dubious or higher with Claws of Veeshan to complete the
quest.
Option two is even simpler. If you are not worried about
your Skyshrine faction, just kill Ziglak. He drops the very
same key.
This key acts like a Group gate, if one person in a group uses
the key all group members near him are zoned into Cobalt scar.
Sleepers
Tomb
The
dragon Zlandicar has the key for access to Jaled Dar's Shade (Veeshans
Peak), you can perform a small task for him in Necropolis in return
for the key. You can also kill him to get the key.
Jaled Dar's Shade wishes you to wake the Sleeper, who is encased
within his tomb. He needs a talisman from any of 5 different dragons
of the first brood in order to open the door.
These Dragons are Lord Yelinak, Sontalak, Lendiniara, Klandicar
and Zlandicar himself.
These are all HIGH-level encounters. You will not be able
to do these solo, and you will not be able to do this without
high level support.
Veeshan’s
Peak
To
receive the key for Veeshan’s Peak you need to complete 3 different
medallions and also receive a tooth from Trakanon (not the Trak’s
tooth from Trakanon Teeth zone, the one off the dragon Trakanon).
We’ll
start with the Medallion of Jarsath.
First
go to the Swamp of No Hope. Go to location 52, 2935.
One the ground will spawn a bag. If it is not there, wait
for the spawn. When bag appears, pick it up and you have
the first piece of the Medallion of Jarsath.
Now
head to Firiona Vie. Find the Ancient Jarsath. He
is low 40’s and shouldn’t give you to many problems. If
he isn’t up his placeholder is the Drolvangs that wander the area.
He
is an undead creature, so someone with sense undead to help track
this creature comes in handy.
When
you kill him you will have your second part of the Medallion of
Jarsath.
The
third and final piece can be found on a Bloodgill Marauder in
the Lake of Ill Omen. He spawns at the entrance to the underwater
ruins in the middle of the lake (under water). He is lvl 40. His
placeholders are the Bloodgill goblins. Just keep killing
them until he spawns, and loot the last piece of the Medallion.
Now you travel to Timorous Deep. Go to the chessboard island
and find Xiblin. Hand him the three pieces and he will make
you the Medallion of Jarsath.
Next
is the Medallion of the Kylong
You
now go to Chardok and deep inside find Niblik. Hand Niblik
a ruby and a black sapphire and she will give you the first part
of the Medallion of Kylong back.
The second piece can be found lying on the ground upstairs in
the library of Kaesora. Just pick it up and you will have your
second piece of the Medallion.
The
third and final piece can be found on an NPC by the name of Verix
Kylox who spawns in Karnor's Castle. Be sure to bring a decent
group for this one also. Kill Verix and loot the third piece
of the Medallion.
Now
that you have the three pieces head to Lake of Ill Omen and find
Professor Akabao (He’s a Erudite in a tower). Give him the
three pieces of the medallion and he will create the Medallion
of the Kylong for you.
To obtain the Medallion of Obulus:
First you need to either buy or loot a Burnished Stave which drops
of random mobs in Chardok.
Once
you obtain the Stave take this to Warslilks Woods. Search out
an NPC named Sselot. He is on a small island north of the zone.
He is an Iksar so you may be KoS. If you are KOS to him,
have an enchanter or a bard charm him (mez won’t work).
While he is charmed give him the Stave and in return he gives
you a piece of the Medallion of Obulus.
Second you must kill an NPC by the name of Pained Soul in Trakanon's
Teeth. He is a fixed spawn and spawns near the ramp to Old Sebilis.
He spawns in the doorway to a broken building. His placeholder
is a Spectral Champion. Pained Soul is a VERY rare spawn.
Once
he has spawned, kill him and loot the second piece of the Medallion
of Obulus.
Finally head to Dreadlands and find the Rotted Skeleton. He is
a static spawn so he doesn’t wander.
As
you come in from the Frontier Mountains/Dreadlands zone take a
left and continue along the zone line into the mountains.
His
place holder is a skeleton, so keep killing him until you spawn
the Rotted Skeleton. Kill the Rotted Skeleton and loot the
last piece of the Medallion of Obulus.
Now head to Burning Woods and find an NPC named Slixen Klex. His
location is -681.59 -1120.76. He is lvl 50 and is indifferent
to both good and evil races. Give him the three pieces of the
medallion and he pieces them together to form the Medallion of
Obulus.
Now you must kill Trakanon (the dragon).
Trakanon
is one of the hardest dragons in the game. You will need
lots of friends to take him down.
You
want the no drop tooth off of Trakanon. This is the last
part of the key.
Now
that you have all the pieces of the key, you return to Emporer
Ganak (same guy as Old Sebilis key). Give him the three
complete medallions and the tooth and he will give you in return
the key to Veeshan’s Peak.
