Mex is having issues with his favorite pc. He keeps crashing when he loads. We removed EQ and put it back in, still did not work. I turned the damn thing off the other night before we went to bed, now it wont go back on. Any suggestions?

Ack! I think the PC gurus would need a bit more information before being able to give you a diagnosis. I do have a quick question though.

Does the PC fan or any lights even come on when you hit the power button?

Just with taht description, sounds like either a motherboard issue, or possibly a powersupply...easiest of the two to fix would be the PS.

I had the same symptoms on one of my computers Nuli and luckily enough it was only the power supply?

Sounds to me like a power supply also. If he was having issues with it when EQ was loading, the power supply possibly was going out and didn't have enough juice to load the graphics. That would be my guess. MB problems would normally have error issues before just not turning back on after a shutdown, especially if it was just EQ that was giving him problems.

First thing to try.. unplug from power for 30 seconds... plug back in.. See if it powers up.

If not you'll have to start diagnosing. Do you get beeping sounds? Lights? If you open the case do you see any lights on the motherboard light or any fans make any movements at all?

Were thinking mother board light go's on, fans and nothing else works. He is running it to BB today for a free analasys. I dont log on mutch without him he gets fiesty when he knows I can play and he cant .

Ok, the pc is fried. Gonna be a few weeks until we can get another one. We will be on a bit here and there but the other pc's are slow as hell. So no serious playing until then.
