There are some playing LOTRO on the Landroval server. They are in a kinship of the same name - Mystical Lightfighters.

Logged into EQ today and was so lost! 15 years of muscle memory gone!

EQ still requires a group to fight upper level content. While mercs help, it takes a few of them, since they have way too many hit points up there.

Lotro does not require a group to get to max level, and they don't need mercs. The fun part is learning the class. It gets easier when you go thru all content (for the exp), and there is enough to keep the player above the mobs level.
