ok, at what point did it dawn on you this was silly? ive been inide my vcr's many times, and i have to admit,

I figured it out right away. Once I got the case apart on my VCR and removed the first assembly, I thought something was up. Then after I didn't find the monster, I was like 'Heyyyyy wait a minute here, someone is pulling my middle leg'
